In terms of table, in 1994, 15,246 number of British citizens visited foreign countries for holiday purposes, and this figure climbed sharply to 20,700 in 1998. This figure was comparatively higher than other reasons. There was an increase in the number of people who travelled abroad for their business from 3,155 in 1994 to 3,957 in 1998, an increase of almost 900 over the 4-year period. Other reasons was lower all the period, stood at 982, and rising slightly to 990 after 4 years.
Regarding the remining chart, Western Europe was higher than other regions, which saw a noticeable rise by 4,200 people, increase from 19,371 to 24,519. By contrast, the lowest number of people visited North America in 1994, at 919, and it rose slightly to 1,823 by main region. Other area was moderate.v
