Tables provide information about the amount of visits of different countries by 100,000 residents of the United Kingdom and purposes of these trips and also destinations of these visits from 1994 to 1998.
Briefly, in the first table there are four different goals for travels of the UK citizens: business, visits of friends and relatives, other reasons and holiday, which constitutes the biggest amounts. The second table demonstrates three categories of individuals’ places of visits, such as Western Europe, North America and other areas. Moreover, the category of total amount is also shown in both tables.
Firstly, the total amount of trips has grown considerably throughout this period of time from 22,072 to roughly 29,000. The holiday group amount has risen the most from a mere 15,000 to almost 21,000; however, other types of purposes haven’t shown such a significant increase. Both business and visits to friends and relatives groups’ numbers have grown for approximately 600 people. Other reasons type hasn’t demonstrated a drastical rise and almost stood stable on slighlty lower than 1,000 point.
The second table depicts that the Western Europe destination constitutes the greatest amounts of individuals and has gone up from around 19,500 to roughly 24,500, whereas the quantity of travelers to the North America doubled itself to 1,800. Other areas section has depicted a rise from a mere 1,800 to almost 2,500 visitors.
