We use glass bottles on a daily basis, have you ever wondered how they are recycled?
After we use the glass bottles and throw them away in the trash, a long process happens. In stage one, They will be taken away at the collection point by the recyclers.
Following that, stage two the glass goes through a process of cleaning using high pressured water, then categorized by color into the recycling plant. Brown, green, clear, each goes through a different container. After that, the bottles go through a hot furnace where the glass is melted and liquid glass is obtained. both the recycled liquid glass and the new liquid glass go through a molding stage, where they are molded back into glass bottles. Finally in stage three the new glass bottles are sent to customer supermarkets where us consumers can purchase it.
