The given flow chart demonstrates how to produce a pencil in this process.
There are 11 main steps in this process, beginning with planting the trees and ending with delivery products to users.
In the first steps, seeds are sown to start the growth of the tree. After four months, the seedlings are moved to allow more space for their growth. Three years later, the trees are thinned to allow more space for growth. Then, the mature trees after 14 years are cut down to prepare the wood for production.
In the next steps, the wood is cut into thin slats, which are treated . Sixty days later, glue is used to attach black lead tips to the grooves of slats. A second slat is then placed on to create a sandwich and they are heated and pressed. After pressing, they are cut into pencil . In the final step, the pencils are painted, sharpened and stamped before being packaged and transported to the user.
