The diagram illustrates the production of coffee for commercial purposes.
Overall, there are 3 main stages in producing and preparing coffee, starting with picking and drying coffee beans, and then processing them in the next several steps with the help of different pieces of equipment, and finally packaging the end product for sale.
The process commences when ripe coffee beans are collected manually and then dried in the sun. Following that, the dried beans are placed in a special container to roast, after which they are cooled quickly and then ground. Having been ground, coffee beans are mixed with hot water.
In the next part of the process, the mixture undergoes straining and freezing steps. This strained and frozen liquid is also ground, before being dried in a specialized vacuum in order to evaporate its water content. Finally, coffee is ready to be packed in jars and delivered to supermarkets and shops for retail.
