The diagrams illustrate the features of two types of water filters, namely cross section filter and simple outdoor filling and storage method.
Overall, the cross section filter is a metal container, which is devided into three separate chambers for sand, tiny stones and storing clean water with two inlet and outlet pipes, whereas, in the outdoor filter there are four steps and contaminated water goes through only sand to be purified.
To begin with, a cross section filter is normally a metal container which can hold 200L water. it is designed simply with three different sections for water to be purified. While the first layer is occupied by sand filter, the second layer is with peebles. Before water can be taken out from bottom of the filter, it stores the water in the last section. Additionally, there is another pipe on the top right corner of the system to pour impure water into the jar.
In terms of the outdoor filling and storate system, firstly, the untreated water are stored in a tank, which goes strough sand along a pipe, which has a tap on it. After then, it is stored directly in the storage and through a tap it is easily accessible for household usage.
