The bar chart illustrates the percentage of preferences in choosing houses of UK citizens in 3 different cities in the year 2009.
Overall, it is clear that apartments were the most popular choice in Liverpool, while in London and Manchester people tended to live in semi-detached houses. It is noticeable, Terraced Houses were the least common option among cities.
Looking at the chart for detail, one can see that nearly 60% of Liverpool’s residents chose to live in flats, which was twice as much as that of London and three times as high as that of Manchester. By contrast, the opposite was true for Terraced houses, the figure for the category in London was about 20%, followed by in Liverpool and Manchester at roughly 10%.
On the other hand, over a third of the result was recorded for Detached and Semi-detached houses in Manchester, while around 15% was reported in Liverpool. The proportions of Detached and Semi-detached houses were nearly 25% and approximately 35%, respectively, in Liverpool.
