This bar chart depicts variations in birth rate ( per woman) between 1990 and 2000 with intervals of ten, in six Gulf countries. The y-axis represents the number of fertilities from zero to eight, in intervals of one.
At first glance, it becomes clear, that all fertility statistics decreased across the periods. Overall, the birth rate in Oman and Saudi Arabia were the highest, while the lowest, presents Bahrain and Kuwait.
In more detail, Oman and Arabia numbered around 7 and almost seven, respectively. Birth in Oman dipped by more than one in 2000, whilst Arabia reached a trough falling to the same level as Oman. Qatar and UAE observed a downtrend in fertility, measured almost same figure at four, and then rate in Qatar fell by 0.5, meanwhile, UAE decreased by almost one throughout the period.(in 2000)
The remaining two countries had around a 3.5 of the total in 1990 each, however all fell by around 1 in 2000. Of the 2 smallest ranges on birth, Bahrain fell the most, dropping from more than 3 to almost 2. Kuwait went from the smallest in 1990 to the fifth largest in 200.
