The maps illustrate how the layout of the town called Springer has changed since 1970. Overall, it is clear that the town has gone through urbanization and expansion, as it now incorporates additional areas focused on educating students, accommodating more people, and making the area more accessible.
In 1970, on the northern side of the town, there were a few houses and a big forest area that provided fresh air and a supply of wood for people living nearby. While the former has been replaced by modern apartments today to accommodate more people, the letter, which is located in the northeast corner of the town, has been reduced in size, and a new airport has been constructed to make traveling easier for town dwellers. It is worth noting that the northwest side of the map has shops and old houses that were located near the forests, while the old shops maintained their location, and a school has been built below the old shops. Additionally, there have also been new shops added to both sides of the school.
On the southern side of the town, there was a huge area for farming that provided local produce for supermarkets and consumers, but it has been shortened in shape, and shops and modern apartments have been constructed to meet consumers’ basic necessities. As new road links have been set up throughout the town, houses have also been built on the southeast side of the map, near the shops.
