The maps illustrate the layout of the town of Springer in the year 1970 and its current state.
Overall, the town has gone through an urbanization and expansion, as it now incorporates additional areas focused on living apartments, educating children and making the area more accessible.
In 1970, the town had a big farmland in the southern part, houses and shops in the middle of the Springer town. Its north-east corner and western side were covered with woodland areas.
By today, the farm has been reduced in size in order to accomodate new four blocks of apparments and 3 shops and houses. The houses have been replaced with school in the middle and shops surrounding it. A new airport has also been added in the northeast, reducing part of the forest. The houses, in the northwest side has been transformed into appartment blocks, occupying both part of the road. Finally, new infrastructure, including new roads and airport has been introduced within the park.
