The maps shows the development which took place between 1700 and today in the centre town.
There are some significant changes from 1700 to today which include the removal of river and replacing it with a public park. The location for Bigg’s farm has been changed. In addition, shops in 1700 have been converted to more and standard shops.
In 1700, there were no car park, traffic lights, roundabout and supermarket. Hotels have now been reconstructed in the same location. Green farm has been demolished and now replaced with car park. The stables in the olden days has been converted to another building. Houses are now built beside the streets with broader roads.
In conclusion, a lot of facilities have been renovated and placed in a better location which resulted in a lot of changes in the town centre today.
