The image depicts two maps comparing a town center in 1700 and today. In 1700, key locations include: Market Square at the center, a Hotel to the southwest, High Street running horizontally below the Market Square, Goods Farm to the north of Market Square, Churchyard to the east, a Road to the north, and St. Peter's Lane running vertically to the right of Market Square. Today, changes include: a Car Park replacing Goods Farm, a Road system replacing and expanding the previous single road, Shops replacing the original individual structures around High Street, an Office Block and a Supermarket replacing the areas previously designated as individual farms and fields, a Church replacing the Churchyard, additional Roundabout at the intersection of High Street and the expanded road to the right, and the presence of Houses to the far northeast.
Given the complexity of the image, the above description may not be entirely accurate.

These two maps describe the changes in building placement and architecture between yhe town centre in 1700 and the same one today.
In 1700, the population was smaller, so the town looked smaller and emptier. There are two farms visible, first one right in front of the bridge and the second one below the bridge in the bottom-left corner. Church, market square and hotel in the middle of both maps have stayed unchanged, while other streets and buildings were changed dramatically.
In modern town today, the roads have been modernised and expanded, which caused the removal of steggie farm. Despite this, the name of it has been given to the road nearby. The second farm named “Goode farm” has been replaced with car park. Houses that were in the bottom kept their places, however, they have been extended. New houses have been developed in the upper-right corner and near the shops row. The house in bottom-right corner in 1700 has been completely removed and replaced with supermarket.
