The diagram summarises the process of gaining the driving licence.

Overall, this is a linear process that consists of eight steps, beginning with visiting a specialised centre and ending with receiving a licence.

The procedure commences with visiting a special centre and completing an application there, for obtaining the drivers licence. Next, an application requires the completion of eye test, which will show if the candidate will go further or not. If the candidate successfuly passed an eye test, one have to pay a fee, but if the candidate failed the test, one will not get a driving licence for that attempt.

Going further, after the fee payment, candidate need to complete a written test. In the case of failure, candidate will have to pay the fee and retake the written test all over again, but if the candidate passes the test, one will go to the last stage of the application – driving test. Similarly, if the candidate fails the driving test, one will has an another attempt, but if the candidate passes, one will finally receive a licence.

Task Response

The report effectively covers all stages of the process described in the flowchart. It provides a clear overview and follows a logical progression. To improve, ensure better grammatical consistency, particularly regarding subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'one have to' should be 'one has to') and article usage. The description of the retake process for the written test is slightly inaccurate based on the visual description, but the overall task achievement is strong.

Coherence & Cohesion

The report is logically organized and follows the sequence of the flowchart well. The use of cohesive devices such as 'Overall', 'The procedure commences with', 'Next', and 'Similarly' helps the reader navigate the process. However, there is some repetition in sentence structures, and the transition between the eye test and the fee payment could be smoother. To improve, try to vary your linking words and ensure that the flow between sentences feels more natural rather than just a list of sequential actions.

Lexical Resource

The vocabulary used is appropriate for the task, with terms like 'commences', 'specialised centre', and 'candidate' showing a good range. However, there is some repetitive use of words like 'candidate' and 'test'. To reach a higher band, aim to use more varied synonyms and sophisticated phrasing (e.g., instead of 'go further', use 'proceed to the next stage' or 'advance to the subsequent step').

Grammatical Range & Accuracy

The report demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are several grammatical inaccuracies that prevent a higher score. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'one have to' instead of 'one has to', 'candidate need' instead of 'the candidate needs', 'one will has' instead of 'one will have') and article usage (e.g., 'completion of eye test' instead of 'the completion of an eye test'). Pay close attention to singular/plural agreement and the use of articles (a/an/the) to improve accuracy.
