Overall, transport became the dominant spending area 2020, overtaking Industry, which had been largest category two decades earlier. In contrast, Commerical received a notably smaller share over time.
In 2000, Industryaccounted for the largest propotion of spending at 38%, followed closely by transport at 24%. Residential and Commericial made up 22% and 11% respectively, while other expenditure represented a more 10%.
By 2020, transpord had become the biggest spending ca6tegory, rising to 33% – an increase of 10 percentage points. Meanwhile, Industry’s share fell to 25%. Residential saw a modest decline to 20%, and Commercial increased 13%. The Agriculture remained the same. The share of agriculture neither rose nor fell.
