The pie chart illustrate the expenditure of the US citizens in 7 categories.

Overall, from the graph we understand that foods and cars remain at a higest proportion in both years. Additionally, foods, furnitures, books, decrease in this time period; whereas, the other sectors like cars, restaurants, computers increase.

In 1966, foods and cars percentages was about 44% and 23% respectively; however, the expense in foods decreased to only about 14% sharing the position with restaurants; although, the amout for the car increases to 45% and both remaind the higest figure in 1996. Moreover, the structure for the petrol remained almost same from 9% to 8% in 1966 and 1996 respectively.

The amount for the furnitures decreases slightly about 2% from 10% to 8% in 1966 and 1996 respectively. Besides, the percent for the computer was only 1% which increases remarkably to 10% from 1966 to 1996. In the period of 30 years, the expenditures for the book was 6% but highly decreased to 1% only. On the other hand, the figure for the furniture double in this time period.
