Overall, it can be observed that all categories experiensed significant changes, with expenses for cars replacing food costs taking the leading position among in 1996(45%). It means that people obviously began to attend restaurants twise more than they used to in 1966 and spend less on buying and cooking food themselves.

One of the most great changes occur is that americans in 1996 read much less books comperatively with 1966. Expenses for books accounted for a mere 1% by the end of reviewing period, dropping from a range of 6% in 19. Instead, people began to spend more money on computers(rise from 1% to 10%)

Spendings for staff like furniture and petrol remain almost stable experiencing downturn trends for 1% or 2% respectively.
