The line graph compares the data about the changes in China’s population in 3 types of generation over a period of 90 years, starting in 1960 and including a forecast to 2050.
It’s noticable that the people aged 15-64 is by far the highest amount of population. The number of births is expected to see only decreases over a whole period shown.
In 1960, children were the main part of inhabitants of China, consisting approximately 45 per cent of whole population. Young people and adults consisted about 40 per cent of population, at it’s bottom point. Senior people contained a negligible amount for 50 years and had a rise only after 2010.
In 1970, the proportion of adults and young people overtook the amount of children and reached it’s peak at 70 % in 2020. The number of children had a steep decrease during the period shown and is expected to reach it’s lowest point at 17.5 % in 2050. By contrast, senior people were considered the smallest part of population but, It’s expected there to be a rise to more than 20 % of population by 2050.
