As for adults, an average women spent approximately $500 in 1985, which then witnessed a significant rise to roughly $650 in 2005. In contrast, the figure for male were inconsistent. In 1985, it started at $300, then reached a peak of $450 in 1995, followed by a decrease to $400 at the end of the period.
Looking at the boy’s and girl’s clothes, both showed the least amount of spending in US. In 1985, there was same figure for boys and girls average clothing expenditure, with $100 and then both increased slightly, former reaching $110 and latter with about $120.
