The line graph illustrates trends in the rate of waste from several type of Brazilian companies – including company A, company B, and company C – over a 15-year period between 2000 and 2015.
Overall, the share of waste coming from company A and B decreased steadily throughout the period. In contrast, company C increased considerably until the end of the year. Interestingly, this company had taken dominance over the other companies by the end of the year.
Looking into details, company A started as the highest producer of waste in 2000 at around 12tones. However, its figures fell steadily throughout the years, reaching approximately 9tones in 2010 and ending the period at about 8 tones. Company B also showed a downward trend, although its pattern was more variable. It rose slightly from 8tones in 2000 to a peak of around 10tones in 2005, before dropping sharply to just 3tones by 2015.
In contrast, Company C recorded continuous growth in its waste production. Starting with the lowest figure, roughly 4tones in 2000, the company saw a steady rise over the following years. Its waste increased to around 6tones in 2005 and continued climbing throughout the rest of the period, eventually reaching approximately 10tones in 2015, which made it the highest producer by the end of the time frame.
