Overall, the values for Facebook steadily increased throughout the period, while decreased at a similar rate for Yahoo. Apple’s prices fluctuated widely, and Google’s remained relatively unchanged.
Facebook started the period with a stock valuation of approximately 7,500 in 2011 and continued growing annually until it reached 20,000 in 2016. Yahoo’s initial value was very similar to Facebook during the same period, but in contrast, it devalued year by year to reach a low of 2,500 in 2016.
Apple in 2011 commenced with a 50,000 market value, but it jumped dramatically to reach a peak of nearly 35,000 in 2012 before plummeting down in 2013 to around 7,500. After that it recovered slightly reaching 12,000 in 2014 and subsequently fell to just over 50,000 in 2016. Google’s shares didn’t change and stayed at a constant rate of 1,000 during the whole period.
