Overall, the majority of mothers allocated the most of their time across all activities, while fathers devoted the least amount of time to children, particularly in dressing and homework. Moreover, playing games and preparing for bed made up most of time for both parents together.
According to the chart, mothers spent more time helping their children with daily routines like getting dressed and doing homework, accounting for over 70% and 50% of the time, respectively.
These figures were higher than those of both parents, at 22% and 45%. However, fathers assisted for dressing and doing homework merely 2% and 12% of time.
In contrast, playing games and preparing for bed were done by both parents together, at about near 70% and 55% of time whereas mothers’ involvement in these activities showed slightly more engagement here, at about 25% and 42%. The figure of those activities done by fathers saw the same pattern, with just 5%.
