Overall, graph shows how much barrel oil per day have been consumed in four regions. In USA oil consumption in 1995 have jumped up to 17 million, China’s and Middle East’s growth are steady.
USA’s oil consumption in 1995 quickly increased from 10 million barrel per day to 17 million barrel per day. It slowed down a little bit in between 1975- 1985 but continued grow in long run. In 2005 USA’s consumption reached his new peak their consumption hit just over 20 million. That is 23% higher than previous record 17 million barrel per day registered in 1975.
Starting from 1965 China’s consumption and Middle East’s consumption remained relatively same, but in 1995 China’s consumption went up 2 million barrel per day up to 5-6 million barrel per day. On the other hand, Middle East’s consumption moderately grows over the years. In 2005 Chinese consumption outgrow Middle East’s consumption. We can see different trend in Europe from 1965 to 1995 oil consumption stayed steady, but from 1995 to 2015 Europe’s consumption moderately went down meeting with Chinese consumption in between 2005-2015.
