Overall, the most prevalent bed-time activity for children in three-age groups in the US is reading. Moreover, watching TV and eating are the unpopular routines that children participate in before bedtime.
It is apparent that American children are most interested in reading before bedtime, with approximately 60% of the oldest group and more than 65% of the other groups. Additionally, a modest 30% of children from 1-3 years brush their teeth as a part of their nightime routines, compared to 45% of the 4-5 years group and 50% of 6-8 years. Furthermore, two fifths of kids from 1-3 years take a bath pre-bedtime, followed by the 4-5 years group with 35% and 6-8 years with roughly 32%.
Regarding the other less common bedtime activities, the percentage of children who have a habit of watching TV is more than 15%. Finally, a modest 20% of 1-3 years group eat before sleeping, twice the figure for the other age groups.
