The graph illustrates some information regarding the proportion of population in four different Asian countries during the years 1970 to 2020 with providing the predictions for 2030 and 2040.
Overall, all of countries experienced a rising trend. Additionally, Malaysia was by far the most populated country.
Looking to Indonesia and Thailand’s graph in more detail, it is clear that they started their trend near together at about 14% and 19% respectively, continuing their similar increase until 2000 when they reached an equal percentage (about 30%). Furthermore, until 2020, the more dramatic grow was belonged to Indonesia reaching to more than 50%, compared to Thailand with its slight rise to more than 30% at 2020. It is worth mentioning that, a similar growth is predicted for these two countries until the 2040 at less than 50% for Thailand and more than 60% for Indonesia.
Due to other two countries, they both started from about 30% at the first of their trend. Despite some fluctuations, their population became approximately equal in 1990 at about 50%. There was a more considerable rise for Malaysia until the end of period (about 90%). Whereas, Philippines population fluctuated until the end at about 55%.
