Overall, there is irregular increase in city population of all four countries till 2020, after which steady growth is predicted. Uruguay shows tremendous growth becoming highest city populated country towards the end of period, while Ecuador remains the country with least city residence throughout the time line.
In 1970, Argentina had the most population living in cities at about 70%. It remained so till 2020 reaching above 80% residency and is predicted to remain fairly constant in upcoming two decades. With about 50% city residency, Brazil was second in place, which steadily rose to above 60% in 1990 before experiencing the only decline to 60% in 2000. Occupancy then further rose to above 80% in 2020, which is presumed to show insignificant increase in the following decades.
Uruguay and Ecuador however, started at around 20% in 1970. City population then sored in Uruguay exceeding that of Argentina before 2020 almost reaching 100% in 2020. The ratio is also further predicted to remain similar, going towards 2040. Ecuador showed a similar trend, however remaining the least urban populated city starting at less than 20% in 1970, with predictions of reaching around 80% in 2040.
