In the last period, an upward trend was witnessed in Japan banana costs. Remarkably, before rising to 1.90$ in 2001, French bananas were sold at a price from 1.30$ in 1994 to 1.70$ in 2000. In the following year, before increasing slightly to 1.60$ in 2004, the price which was charged for bananas underwent a plunge from 2001 to 2003.
Turning to the remaining countries, there was a fluctuation in the price of bananas in both countries: Germany and the USA from 1994 to 1999. It is evident that the cost of bananas in Germany was around from 1.30$ to $1.50 while 1.00$ to 1.30$ was seen in USA banana prices. Since then, the price of bananas in Germany leveled off at around 1.20$ from 1999 to 2004. In contrast, after fluctuating between $1.20 and $1.50 from 1999 to 2002, the price charged for USA bananas stabilized from 2002 to 2004, similar to those in Germany.
