The graph gives information about the sales of the three most commonly purchased items in a particular bakery for the year 2014. X-axis shows the months of the year 2014 from January to December and the Y-axis the amount in sales from $10,000.00 to $90,000.00. It also showing the three items on sale.
Overall, the bakery is making sales of three items which are Pies, Buns and Bread. The graph is showing fluctuations on two bakeries (buns and bread), while the pies are slowly increasing in sales.
Firstly, bread started off in January having sales of $80,000.00 and had a massive decline over the months to March, however there has been fluctuations when it decreased to $40,000.00 in the month of May and that was the lowest it reached. More ups and downs were noticed and eventually it experienced an increase from September to December reaching the same sales as January.
Secondly, in January sales for buns were $40,000.00 and it increased to $70,000.00 in May were it ran constantly for four months and started to experience decline and things went low for the bakery until December with sales as low as $30,000.00. On the other hand, pies sales in January were low of about $10,000.00 and slight increase were observed, running constantly at $20,000.00 from August to October the an uprise kicked in until it reached sales of $40,000.00 in December 2014.
In conclusion, bakery sales have fluctuations over the months for the three items (bread, buns and pies) shown on the graph and pies really increased in sales in the last quarter.
