Overall, south America was predominant regarding the amount of forests while timber production was far developed in Russia.
Looking forest’s breakdown, Europe constituted mere 5%, showing the lowest figure in the given chart while Asia/Oceania and south Africa were the next nations that accounted for a minor share: 9.2% and 13.2% respectively. In contrast north and south America and Russia represented a major fraction which were 24.2%, 21.95% and 26.5% respectively.
However, in timber production, the proportions were divided partly equally with the exception of Russia.
Russia made up 37.50%, roughly a third whereas north and south America lost percentages:12.8% and 15% respectively. Although south Africa decreased to 11.2%, Europe saw an increase of around 4% and showing 9.2% in total.
