The line graph demonstrates information about how many first-year teachers who teach English and French languages to the learners were recruited in Ontario, over 7 years period from 2001 to 2007.
At the beginning of the period, first-year teachers of the both languages had approximately 70% success rate in finding jobs, although Frenchteachers were sightly less successful than English teachers. Between 2001 and 2003, there was a significant decrease in the percentage of English teachers from 70% to 40%. In 2002 French teachers bottomed out at almost 50%.
However, just under 70% of French teachers were able to find a job in 2003. From 2003 to 2007 the percentage of French teachers fluctuated noticably and reached a peak at 75% in 2007.
On the other hand, the recruitment of English teachers decreased sharply to 40% in 2003. During the foolowing two years the number of recruiting jobs rose slightly to 44% in 2005 before falling to just over 25% in 2007.
