Overall, while the official language teachers of Ontario dropped dramatically throughout the period, an opposite was true for French counterparts. It is also noticeable that English teachers tended to be hired least in the end, despite placing at the leading position at first.
After one year from the beginning, the figure for English and French similarly decreased, which dropped from 75 to under 60 for the former and 70 to 52 for the latter. No longer after the overtake by French, the percentage of it increased dramatically by 16 percent in the next year, while that of English dropped by 18 percent.
In two years afterward, both figures for French and English steadily increased 70 % precisely and 45%, respectively. Notably, the proportion of one-year skilled French teachers stood at 75% in the end despite a slight drop in 2006, that of English dropped significantly to under 30% in 2007.
