The graph illustrates the percentage of first-year English and French language teachers with regular jobs by year of graduation in Ontario between 2001 and 2007.

Firstly, the number of English-language teachers fell during these years. It steadily went down untill 2003, but after that, it had some fluctuations for the rest of the period. In the end, the percentage dropped from about 70 percent to less than 30.

Regarding the French-language teachers, the graph rose a bit. It showed some loss of percentage in 2002, but after that, it recovered in 2003 and only fluctuated a little. In total, the numbers went from 70% at the start to around 75% in 2007.

Comparing both graphs, we see what they had the same progression for some time, but then diverged, showing some sort of reflection of each other. They decreased together in the first year, both losing about 20%. However, after that, the number of French-language teachers grew, while the other reduced.
