The line chart illustrates the frequency of public transportation usage according to six age groups in two different residence places in 2016.
Overall, large city residents’ data for those who use public transportation had shown a significant increase in youths to mature age, before it dramatically decreased in older generations. Meanwhile, data for other residents showed stable data, started with youngsters and ended with elderly people.
To begin with, public transportation usage had jumped dramatically, beginning with the youngest generations at 40% and peaked at almost 70% in the 31-45 age group. However, the percentage started decreasing and dropped to fifth in the 61-75 age group (10%) before it recovered slightly in the older people usage (15%).
In contrast, the usage of public transport in other residents was recorded at a stable frequency. It began at 15% of usage among youngest people and jumped slightly to fourth in teenagers data. The data remained stable before showing a minor up to almost 20% and dropping to 5% in elderly.
