Overall, it can be understood from the graph that streaming led the dominance , by being the most famous source of music sale, while download and cd experienced a gradual decrease over the provided time period. Vinyl was the only one category which remained nearly unchanged.
From 2011 to 2013, downloads nearly stayed steady with 3 billon dollars , but it started to witness a slight downward trend to 2015. CD had less sales in each year by declining slowly which was the same rate with the downloads at the beginning of the year and 1 billion $ in 2017. At the end of the year (2018), both sectors :Cd and downloads reached a bottom that former was approximately 0.9 while the latter was exactly 1 billion dollars.
Streaming began with lower sales which were below 1 bln.$ in 2011, and it enjoyed a steady growth until 2015 with about 2.5 bln dollars. Furthermore, this category continued an upward trend until hit the highest point in 2018 with approximately 7.5 billion dollars. On the other hand, vinyl was the only medium by far witnessed the lowest sales compared to other media sources that gently increased from 2012 to 2014. In 2015 , it reached a peak with about 0.5 billion dollar sales. However, there can be seen a slight fall in 2016 , and from that time it increased steadily to 2018.
