The presented line graph depicts the UK audience percentage of radio and television in one day from October – December 1992. The population is above 4 years old.
Overall, the audience percentage of radio increased in the morning, while for television, it dropped. At the start of the day, radio was commonly used by people. Radio and television are widely consumed as the afternoon progresses but, in the evening, television is often used.
With regards to the audiences percentage of Radio, at 6am there were about 8% of people listening to the radio. This figure remained relatively increased until 8.30am when it reached a peak of 29%. Following this, there were some fluctuations until midnight before it decreased dramatically.
Meanwhile, the percentage of television viewers also began low at 0%. After continuing at 0%, the figure rose moderately before noon. The percentage then grew rapidly until it reached the peak of almost 50% at about 8am. Finally, the proportion of the audience decreased in a gradual downward trend to above 5% at the end of the day.
