The bar chart illustrates the tea and coffee imports by four different countries. Overall, the UK made up the largest share of the tea market, while Germany imported the most coffee. In many countries, coffee imports were higher than tea imports, except in the UK. Notably, Canada and the US had the lowest figures for tea and coffee imports, respectively.
Focusing first on tea imports, the UK dominated the market with 80,000 tons, while Germany’s imports were half that amount at 40,000 tons. The other two countries imported significantly lower quantities of tea. In fact, Canada and the US imported four times less tea than the leading country in the chart.
Regarding coffee imports, the differences among the four countries were smaller. Germany was the primary coffee importer with 50,000 tons, while both Canada and the US each imported 40,000 tons. The UK imported about 30,000 tons, making it the smallest coffee importer among the group.
