Overall,The graph shows the price changes of metals such as gold,platinum and palladium.Despite platinum fetching high prices initially,gold and palladium has overtaken it in terms of cost per ounce.Palladium has witnessed the most amount of price increase over the period.
Palladium and platinum had a similar price around 1500 dollars per ounce from 2013 to 2014 ,platinum was closer to the figure than palladium.In 2014 platinum experienced a drop from its value to 1000,causing relatively stable gold to overtake it.Gold hovered around 1400 dollars from 2013 to 2019 but in the same time platinum’s price was decreasing annually till 2020 to approximately 1900 dollars per ounce.Platinum had a minimal increase in price from 2020 to 2021 to a final price around 1100 dollars.Gold had also experienced an increase in price from 2019 to 2020,where the price went from around 1400 dollars to approximately 1800 dollars;which is the same price till 2021
Palladium started off initially at the lowest value among all the categories;around 700 dollars per ounce.This price has fluctuated between 800 to 600 from the year 2013 to 2017.From 2017 to 2021 palladium has experienced an explosive growth in its price per dollar ratio,jumping from around 800 dollars to finally its peak of approximately 2400 dollars.This price increase has also resulted in palladium overtaking gold and platinum from a value perspective in this time frame.
