The line graph gives information about the average closing prices of selected precious metals from 2013 to 2021. Overall, it can be seen that gold and platinum average prices mildly changed during the period, while the price of palladium experienced an increasing trend.
In detail, the price of palladium was more than 500 dollars yet less than 1000 dollars from 2013 to 2017, fluctuating, while platinum moderately dropped from 1500 to 1000 during the same period. As can be seen, the price of gold slightly decreased to less than 1500.
Moving on to 2018-2021, in early 2018, the rate of palladium dramatically shot up to 1500 and later sharply rose to nearly 2500, which means this metal was the highest priced among others in history. As it is presented in the graph, gold gradually went upward between 1500 and 2000, then remained stable from 2019 to 2021. Generally speaking, platinum remained steady but slowly went up, reaching a little higher than 1000 dollars, recording the lowest rate compared to the other precious metals by the end of the period.
