Palladium’s price fluctuated around $700 between 2013 to 2016 reaching a low of just above $500 which marked the beginning of palladium’s annual rise to reach a culminating of just below $2500 in 2021. Similarly, gold originally fluctuated around $1000 to $1500 from 2013 to 2019, peaking at approximately $1800 in the final two years.
In contrast, platinum hit its highest point of just about $1500 in 2013. Following this, platinum dipped to $1000 from 2014 to 2015 and steadily decreased to just below $1000 in 2020. Notwithstanding a slight rise to just above $1000 in the last two years, platinum becomes the cheapest precious metal of the three.
