Overall, Nickel has the most changes in prices during the whole year. All three metals experienced a downward trend in the winter season. While in the fall, they experienced an upward trend.
In January, nickel price change was high at 6% and then dropped at 1% in mid-February and had a steady growth between march and April. Between march and July, nickel experienced notable decrease in price hitting a low point at –3% in and quickly got high at 1%. From July to September, it remained steady at -1%. While between October to November, nickels’ prices increased reaching 1% and remained steady from November to December.
From January to February, prices of zinc increased reaching 3% while copper prices decreased by 1%. Both copper and zinc from February to May experienced steady decrease in prices reaching around 0,5% and 1% respectively. Between May and July, Zinc prices experienced a downward trend attaining at –1 % and then faced a slight increase hitting approximately –0,5%. Whilst copper prices remained steady at about –0,5% and increased at 1%. From July to October, both metal prices experienced a steady growth and decreased slightly in October at –1% with zinc and about 0,7% with copper. In contrast, Both Zinc and copper prices hit an upward trend at 2% and around 1,8% respectively.
