The displayed line graph illustrates the average change each month in the costs of three types of metals, including copper, nickel, and zinc during 2014.
Overall, all three metals experienced fluctuation in prices in every month, especially Nickel, which underwent the most notable change during the period.
To begin with, Nickel price in January was 6% higher compared to previous month, which is also the highest difference in prices in 2014 for all materials. Then, the difference in prices of Nickel significant decreased to 1% in March and continue to reached its lowest point at -3% in June after remaining the same from March to April. After that, it experienced some slight fluctuation before stablizing at 1% at the end of the period.
Furthermore, the monthly change in prices of Copper decreased from 2% in January to 1% in Fubruary while the figure of zinc increased by 2% to peaked at 3% in the same course of time. After that, their trajectories were almost the same as Nickel’s prices trend. Changes in prices of both copper and zinc reached their lowest point in June, at around -0.5% and -1% respectively. Then, they both fluctuated negligibly and reached approximately 2% in December.
