Overall, all the figures experienced an increase with the exception of Russia. The figure for America became the leader at the end of the period, whereas the reverse was true for Russia.
Turning to the details, at the beginning of the time frame, the number of students in America was approximately 1.5 million. However, this rate moderately ascended until 2010, to nearly 3 million. By contrast, after 5 years, this figure sharply rose by 2 million. As for France, its rate was about 3.5 million in 2000. Interestingly, this number decreased by nearly 1 million in the years 2005 and 2010. Nevertheless, the quantity of students in France considerably increased to almost 4.5 million in 2015.
Regarding Russia, its rate was 3 million in 2000, although this figure markedly declined to just below 2 million in 2010. However, at the end of the time frame, the number of those in Russia reached to about 2.5 million.
