The line graph illustrates the changes in production of three products: suits, dresses and coats in a garment factory from 1990 to 2010.
Overall, coat production saw the most significant growth and became the highest by the end of the period. Suit output fluctuated, while dress production remained the lowest throughout, although it also experienced a consistent rise.
In 1990, the production of suits stood at around 15 million units, after which this figure rose sharply, peaking at 23 million in 1995, before falling steadily approximately to 17 million in 2005. Coat production began at the lowest point, at just 8 million units, but it grew consistently over the two decades. By 2000, it had overtaken both dresses and suits, after which it continued to rise, ending the period as the dominating item at 25 million units.
Dress production started slightly higher than coats in 1990, at about 10 million. It experienced a minor rise and fall in the mid-90s and early 2000s, before increasing gradually again after 2000. By 2010, it had reached nearly 15 million units, remaining the least-produced item despite the upward trend.
