Looking from an overall perspective it is readily apparent that, India has the highest number of population of Asian elephant. while china has the lowest amount of population of asian elephant in country. although trend of population was downwards but stable in Vietnam and Laos in given years.

With the case of Vietnam’s elephant population, it was around below 2500 in both years. With regards to India’s elephant population in 1994 it was around 10000 which was the highest population of elephants in India but in next 13 years it was decline by 2500 in 2007 in India. approximately 3000 elephant population was noticed in Malaysia in 1994 but in 2007 significant decreased were noticed in population of Asian elephant. in both years srilanka has the approx. same population around 2700 in 1994 and 2007.
