The line graph illustrates the percentage of access to four different modern technologies in homes in the UK from 1994 to 2008.

Overall, the most common technology was CD Player, however by the end of the period it was outstripped by Mobile Phone. Additionally, the percentages of DVD Player and Internet Connection started nearly at 0%, however, they witnessed an upward trend during the period.

At the beginnig of the period, the 60% of homes in the UK had access to CD Player, while 20% had Mobile Phone. In contrast, almost no one had DVD Player and Internet connection in 1994.

In the middle of the period, all modern technologies had increased their percentage. CD Player’s percentage rose steadily and had proportion just above 80%, followed by Mobile Phone which rose by 40%. Furthermore, Internet Connection gradually increased it’s share and had 20%, whereas DVD Player had approximately 10%.

By the end, there was more Mobile Phones rather than CD Players, Mobile Phones overtook CD Player roughly by 2-3% at nearly 93%. In addition, DVD Player caught up with Internet Connection at 70% and eventually overtook it at 80%, while DVD Player had approximately 75-76%.
