This line graph illustrates the changes in the percentage of homes in the UK that had access to modern technologies from 1994 to 2008.
As can be seen from the graph, CD players had the highest percentage except for 2006/2007, when DVD players took over. Meanwhile, Internet connection had the lowest percentage.
Turning to the details, CD players were already used in 1994/95 and considered the oldest type of modern technology, whereas DVD players appeared only in 2002/03.All of the new technologies experienced growth, but DVD players experienced a significant increase from 2002/03 to 2004/05 and later became the most used. In contrast to this, Internet appeared before DVDs however, it reached just over 60%, which is the lowest among other technologies. Mobile phones made an appearance in 1996/97 and peaked in 2004/05 with almost 80%.Conversely, CD players experienced gradually decrease and finished with little bit less than 80% in 2008.
