Overall, meats from beef, lamb, and chicken dominated the start of the comparison, while fish meat has the least. In addition, chicken surpassed the the beef and obtained the highest among the comparison until the end of the observation period.
In detail, beef has the maximum consumption with an estimated 230 grams per human every week in 1979. It was followed by lamb and beef at 150 and 140, respectively. The least consumption was fish with an approximate 62 grams weekly. However, at the end of 2004, chicken exceeded beef and lamb and became 250 grams, wherein the former only has 105 grams while the latter only has 60 grams.
To delve deeper, there is a break-even between chicken and beef in the year before and after 1989. However, chicken managed to overpassed the beef until the end of 2004 by far at 250 grams. Furthermore, fish consumption only obtained by roughly 55 grams in 1979 and consequently descended by 48 grams towards the end of 2004.
