The image shows a line graph titled 'Fish and Meat consumption' with the x-axis labeled with years from 1979 to 2004 in 5-year intervals and the y-axis labeled with 'Grams per person per week' starting from 0 to 300 in 50-gram increments. Four lines represent different types of meat: Fish (solid line), Lamb (dashed line), Beef (solid line), and Chicken (dashed line). Fish consumption starts at around 60 grams and shows a slight increase over the years, reaching just above 100 grams in 2004. Lamb consumption starts at approximately 150 grams, decreases steeply to around 75 grams by 1989, then levels off and fluctuates slightly. Beef consumption begins at 250 grams, declines steadily to almost 150 grams by 2004. Chicken consumption starts at nearly 150 grams, remains stable until 1989, then rises sharply, surpassing beef by 1999 and reaching just below 250 grams in 2004.

The line graph depicts the weight of fish and three types of meat consumed on average in The UK over a span of twenty-five years (1979-2004). It is obvious that only chicken consumption grew over time.
In 1979, just over 200 grams, beef stood first in terms of consumption. While the intake for lamb and chicken were close to 150 grams on average, fish was consumed the least (about 50 grams). During 1980’s, consumption for beef and lamb plummeted to be near 160 grams and 100 grams respectively, whereas more chicken (180 grams) was gradually consumed and ingesting fish went below 50 grams.
In the last decade of 20th century, feasting on chicken surged further to 200 grams, however, lamb and beef continued to cast down and be at 60 and 140 grams respectively, additionally, eating fish saw a slight downfall. In the 21st century (2004), lamb (70 grams), beef (100 grams), and fish (about 45 grams) were all consumed less than 100 grams while chicken hit the peak with 250 grams of consumption.
Overall, fish had a steady decline over the years as compared to others.
