The trend of the demand for the electricity in England during a day in both summer and winter is compared in line graph whereas the proportion of electricity consumption is shown in the pie chart. Overall, it can be seen that people consumed electricity in winter more than in summer, in every single hour. Also, the most used purpose was heating rooms and water.
To begin with, it can be clearly seen that people spent little on electricity in the dawn, just approximately 30000 units, which was the lowest number in the winter. Furthermore, the line gradually rose from the day throughout the dusk until it was at about 48000 units, which was the peak of the graph. There was a drastic drop after 9pm, it significantly fell down until it was at the same position it was during the predawn time, at around 35000. In contrast, the summer graph fluctuated, increasing and decreasing for all day. It reached its peak at 20000, which was not much different from its edge at 15000, 2 times which were 2pm and 11pm.
On the other hand, in the electricity consumption pie chart, it can be seen that heating rooms and water accounted for over half (52.5%), which was the most proportion. Furthermore, the percentage of the rest categories was very low and very similar to each other, especially the lighting, TV, radio part and the oven, kettle, washing machines which were at the same position (15%). Finally, regarding vacuum cleaners, food mixers and electric tools, their number was 2.5% higher than the previous two.
