Overall Canada had higher wheat experts than the other two countries throughout the period from 1985 to 1990. However European community witnessed a rise in the last two years making it the highest wheat exporting country. Finally, wheat exports in Australia experienced a slight decrease throughout the period.
Wheat exports in Canada began a just under 20 million of tons in 1985. After a slight decrease to about 17 million of tons in 1986, exports peaked at 25 million of tons and 1988. Following a short decline to approximately 15 millions of tons in 1989 experts increased back to the starting point of nearly 20 millions of tons.
As can be seen in the chart, wheat exports in Australia and European Community remained nearly the same During the period from 1985 to 1988. In Australia, it gradually decreased after peaking at just over 15 millions of tons in 1986, then leveled off at nearly 10 millions of tons. On the contrary with markets overseas in European Community prospered showing an increasing Trend in the last 3 years exceeding exports of Canada with an amount of more than 20 millions of tons in 1990.
