The graph compares three regions in terms of exports of wheat over a period of 5 years, starting from 1985 to 1990.
Overall it can be seen that, in three regions there was different experience regarding the exports of wheats. While the wheat export in Canada and Europe rose significantly throughout the period with slight fluctuations whereas Australia witnessed a slight decrease.
As the graph shows, in 1985 the number of wheat export of Australia started at 15 million tons followed by a small increase to around 17 million tons in 1986. Then it declined steadily untill it fell over to approximately 11 million tons in 1990. Regarding Canada’s export of wheat, in 1985 it shipped around 19 million tons. However, they witnessed a deacrease to 13 million tons in 1986, but then the figure skyrocketed to reach a peak of 25 million tons in 1988. Afterwards, the figure plunged to below 15 million tons, but then subsequently it rose to 18 miliion tons.
By contrast, Europe exported around 17 million tons wheat in 1985 whereas the figure plummeted to under 15 million tons in 1986. After the fall the figure again increased slightly reaching to 15 million tons but then stabilized till 1988. In 1989, the export of wheat in Europe saw a slight increase reaching to almost 19 million tons but in 1990 it reached to a peak of above 20 million tons.
